If money is an issue, the Fenix 6 is still an awesome watch. It is still getting meaningful updates, and nothing regarding it got worse since the 7 appeared. Judging by the fate of the 5 and even older models, this will be the case for years to come. If at all possible, get a Pro or Sapphire.

With the Fenix 6x Pro, non-sapphire, it's spot on, about all of the time. I have a finger pulse ox I use to use, but now after testing this one very often and looking at the history, I don't need my finger one anymore. This is within 1 to 2% of a dedicated pulse ox. I'm actually very impressed. I wear it on my left wrist, snug, not tight.

Finally bit the bullet and bought this model, larger style - 51mm body, but under 100g and so not noticeably heavy on the wrist. Great set of features for day-to-day life. Sleep monitoring, step count, pulse ox. Hugely customisable within each category. Simple to set up and pair with Android phone, syncing is seemless. LwyksMw.
