Here is what I know so far: - Most the time it starts no problem. - When it doesn't start, the starter does not crank. - I have tried shifting to neutral, all other gears, park, everything. It will not start in Park or Neutral. - The gear indicator is working fine. - New battery. - Clean terminals.
Finally figured this out for my 2014 Ford Focus SE, intermittent at first then permanently wouldn't start. The root cause is likely this: it's a broken fuse, intermittent voltage to BCM. If you run a BCE test, U3006. Pinpoint test BCM Supply circuits. Found mega fuse #9 broken, this has been causing intermittent voltage to BCM.
