The games would have benefited way more as the servers are gonna go offline one day and all you'll be stuck with is the campaign anyway so might as well have given 2-player campaign. There are a lot of characters and ways to add a second player into the game.

Launch the game to play Campaign. Choose 'Campaign', am told I have to restart game to play the Single Player. Game relaunches, to Single Player Campaign.
